Greek Sing is a yearly competitive musical philanthropy put on by the Carnegie Mellon University Greek Community. Carnegie Mellon's Greek Sing showcases Greeks in a competition featuring their skills in singing, choreography, costume design, set design and dancing. Each year Greek Sing contributes tens of thousands of dollars to local and international charities, with past partners including the Lustgarten Foundation and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh.
Through my years at Carnegie Mellon; I served as the Head of Costumes for my sorority for three consecutive years. I designed for our performances of Footloose, Hercules, and Back to the 80s. Due to the philanthropic nature of the show however, these are put together with almost no budget, and a lot of thrift store shopping.
